About me

Hello there, my name is Fernando Bossoes!

 

I work as a sports journalist for the Humber Hawks and as a managing editor for IGNITE. I am currently a third-year journalism student at Humber Polytechnic, where I contribute to the online and print student newspaper, Humber ETC.

 

I have covered a diverse range of sports, from writing about fast pitches in softball to covering the essence of the “Beautiful Game,” soccer. However, my approach to sports falls under a different perspective.

Rather than only reporting match results and statistics, my passion falls into telling stories and sharing experiences that go beyond the court.

 

My favourite thing to produce is profiles; I believe everyone has a great story to tell. Sharing people’s stories moves me and is my strongest skill. I also have a keen interest in data journalism, leveraging research and data visualization to create charts that enhance clarity and storytelling.

Outside of journalism, I am a big Star Wars fan – Revenge of the Sith is nothing less than a masterpiece. I also never refuse a great cup of coffee.
